The medical device field is one of the fastest growing segments of the healthcare industry. A high-growth device company is expanding its marketing department and has a need for a Senior Marketing Manager to lead their Direct-to-Consumer patient marketing program. This profitable, multinational organization has consistently won awards in the business press for their financial performance and their employment practices. The positive corporate culture has provided an annual employee attrition rate of less than 7% (most from retirements) and the dynamic work environment means their commercial teams have unusually strong personal chemistry. With revenue growing at greater than 10% annually, they now need a strategic marketing professional to help take them to the next level.
Responsibilities:
In this newly created role you will lead a team of five Marketing Specialists who are responsible for developing and implementing Direct to Consumer programs targeted to patients who will benefit from innovative medical device therapy. This is a creative assignment where you will develop initiatives that drive patients into doctor’s offices and into the “treatment stream” of appropriate medical devices. In many cases device therapy can achieve superior clinical outcomes and can liberate patients from adverse drug side effects in managing their illness or condition. The Direct-to-Consumer, Direct-to-Patient strategy in the medical device industry is focused on market development and expansion goals rather than on share-shift strategies. So we need a strategic thinker who can also develop creative, out of the box programs to change established, entrenched behaviors.
You and your team will be responsible for market assessment, identification of barriers to patient growth, and development of programs that encourage patients to obtain an evaluation. Duties include working with commercialized, marketed products as well as those that are in late stage clinical development, so you will also contribute to product launch strategies. Working in collaboration with physicians and CME coordinators, you will develop chart review programs, newsletters, email campaigns and educational programs for patient advocacy groups, among other things. You will also work closely with colleagues in Online and Interactive Marketing to optimize patient communication.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have:
· 8+ years of marketing experience, including 3 years of people management
· 3+ years of Direct-to-Consumer or Direct-to-Patient marketing experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech or diagnostics industries
· Strong analytical skills and business software proficiency
· A Bachelor’s degree or better; MBA preferred

SALARY: $120,000 - $150,000
BONUS: 25%
